DMV native Kevin Ross is lifting spirits and spreading positivity with “Waiting On The World To Change.”
The song, originally performed by singer John Mayer, features a stripped-down a capella production allowing Ross’ smooth vocals to shine as he sings about making the world a better place.
“Waiting On The World To Change” is part of Ross’ The Interim Series, a collection of covers and original songs released weekly made to inspire while the world deals with the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The Interim Series is a collection of songs that I feel are very timely right now with everything that’s going on in the world due to COVID-19,” Ross explained about the series.
“We need songs to remind us that love is what connects all of humanity. We are all in this together and each of us has to play our part through using our gifts to uplift, reflect, or provoke thought.”
The R&B crooner released “Love’s In Need of Love Today,” a Stevie Wonder cover featuring London artist Sonna Rele as part of the series last week.
Ross released his latest EP Audacity Vol. 1 back in January. It is his first release under his label Art Society Music Group and label partnership with EMPIRE.
