Ledisi isn’t letting the pandemic stop her from promoting her latest single “Anything For You.” The soulstress has released the official music video for the bubbling urban AC radio hit.
For “Anything For You,” the lead single off her upcoming Wild Card album, Ledisi goes behind the board in a studio environment. In between roaming the halls of the recording space, decorated with vintage guitars, the vocalist takes center stage to belt the loving composition.
“As Nina [Simone] said: ‘Artists should represent the times.’ I think it’s a perfect time for this song. Just remember that I love you always, I love you and you’ll get through this and we’re going to get through this,” said Ledisi in a press statement about the new single.
Wild Card is the first studio album from Ledisi since 2017’s Grammy-nominated Let Love Rule. The new album is slated to arrive this August via Listen Back/BMG.
Wild Card will feature contributions from her frequent collaborator Rex Rideout and Babyface, who she was spotted in the studio with last September.
