6LACK has turned 28 today, and celebrates another year of life with a new song titled “Float.”
For true fans, the glittering guitar backbeat on this track is the perfect soundscape for the wavy songster to melodically express the everyday topic of survival.
“I gotta put my shit back on track / Been down bad too many times / Know that it’s bad, but it’ll be fine / That’s just how it is shout out to slime / It’s a big war going on outside / Grab your lover time to slide / Say your prayers hold on tight / Give your heart with your goodbyes,” he coos.
“Float” follows 6LACK’s recent love letter “ATL Freestyle,” which he released in May. It also comes days after his acoustic version of “Heatwave” with Mereba torched streaming platforms.
In addition to the new birthday song, 6LACK has announced plans to release his own hot sauce called 600 Degrees. It will coincide with the release of his upcoming EP, 6pc Hot, which is arriving later this summer.
