K. Michelle will soon release her third music project of 2020. The outspoken singer-songwriter hinted at the nearly completed EP, which has yet to be titled, on her Instagram Monday night.
She shared a snippet of a song tentatively titled “Gangsta.” In a teaser clip, K. Michelle is seen wearing a gold grill and rocking out to the soon-to-be street banger in a pink-hazed studio.

The upcoming EP follows her fifth studio album All Monsters Are Human and mixtape Not 1 F*ck Given. The former earned a rightful spot on Rated R&B’s 16 best R&B albums of 2020 so far list.
Michelle hinted at a digital drop of new music in our candid interview earlier this year. It’s uncertain, though, if those songs will appear on this next project.
“I’m going to just give out songs throughout the year on iTunes,” she told Rated R&B. “I’m going to just start getting with these producers and say, “Hey. Let’s just put out these songs throughout the month and start rolling them out.” I don’t do that but I have too many records just sitting.”
As K. Michelle puts the finishing touches on her new EP, she has teamed up with Atlanta’s Parking Lot Concert Series (PLC) and Femme It Forward for a special outdoor’s show this Saturday, August 29. Get tickets here.
