Emerging star Kirby has enlisted fellow R&B newcomer Pink Sweat$ for a mesmerizing recreation of her song “Apple.”
The soulful reimagine narrows the track down to a simple guitar riff, allowing both singers to trade romantic verses and emoting harmonies.
“You keep me feenin’ / California dreamin’ / ever since I found out your name / and I, I can’t imagine / life without your magic / ever since I saw you that day / you’re the apple of my eye,” the two croon on the song’s chorus.
The Mississippi songstress recently appeared on First Lady Michelle Obama’s #BlackGirlMagic playlist for her song “Kool-Aid.” In addition, she unveiled “Velvet (Remix)” and its accompanying video with Lucky Daye in July.
All three tracks first appeared on Kirby’s debut EP Sis. back in February.
