Jorja Smith has dropped a socially and culturally artistic video for her new single “By Any Means.”
The strikingly powerful video, directed by Otis Dominique and Ellington Hammond, acknowledges the incomparable beauty and strength of Black people from all walks of life.
While Smith has solo frames of her own, where she sings the meaningful score, the spotlight is focused more on the cast of people of color.
“By Any Means” is the first track taken from Roc Nation’s upcoming project, Reprise, which is described as “a collection of songs…comprised of multiple artists uniting to let their voices be heard in musical protest.”
Smith’s last album was 2018’s Lost & Found. It earned a deserving spot on Rated R&B’s 25 best R&B albums of 2018 list.
Earlier this year, Smith released two other songs: “Rose Rogue” and “Kiss Me in the Morning.”
