What says “I’m sorry” better than a bouquet of apology “Flowers.” Aaron Taylor calls on the best florist in town for the newest track from his forthcoming album, ICARUS.
With lush horns and rosy drums blooming in the background, the British soulman extends an olive branch to a disappointed lover that is on the verge of leaving the relationship.
“I know that some days you wanna walk away / I know I should do more to try make you stay / I know I should try and be the man you need / Until then baby, please would you be patient with me,” Taylor croons on the second verse.
“Flowers” follows the release of Taylor’s Bone Thugs-N-Harmony-esque “Be My Muse.” Prior to that, he shared the distorted soul track “Shooting Star” and the melodramatic “Don’t Leave Me Alone” featuring Lalah Hathaway.
ICARUS arrives on September 25 via Edenic Records. It comes two years after The Long Way Home project.
