The future of R&B is in good hands, especially if VanJess has anything to do with it. Fresh off their pleasingly aesthetic debut performance of “Come Over,” the sister duo has shared their brand new single “High & Dry.”

Equally as fluid as their other past progressive tracks, this ride or die anthem relies on throwback drum beats and densely full vocals produced by James Royo and Jay “Kurzweil” Oyebadejo. In each verse, the gifted pair assure their men that they’ll never leave them in a jam, especially when they’re feeling unloved and helpless.

As much repeat value as the zealous “Come Over” has, respectively, “High & Dry” is a standout on its own, as well as another welcome addition to VanJess’ impressively consistent collection of bops.

Last month, VanJess appeared in the vibrant video for their “Stickin” collaboration with Sinéad Harnett and Masego.
