Occasional singer-rapper Kaleb Mitchell has teamed up with R&B sensualist Xavier Omär for the official remix to his single “Fool.”
Aided by a woozy production, Omär jumps in on Mitchell’s theme of an unbalanced relationship where the feelings aren’t mutual anymore. The RCA signee realizes his fictitious on-wax relationship isn’t picturesque, but he doesn’t want to call it quits unless it’s absolutely necessary.
Omär is still on a high after the release of his new album if You Feel in October. He dropped a massive amount of material ahead of its arrival, from the subtle summer jam “All Our Time” featuring Jae Stephens to the next wedding anthem “So Much More.”
Rated R&B chatted with Omär for an in-depth conversation before the digital album drop. He shared what he hopes fans take away from the new record. “I think I want them to be able to feel each and every emotion,” he said to Rated R&B. “Fully feel every emotion that this album brings up in your heart and in your mind and just live with it. Let it do its healing. Let it do whatever it’s going to do for you, that’s what I would want people to step away with.”
