Queen Naija has another case of butterflies this week. Following the Billboard number one R&B debut of her first full-length album Missunderstood, the platinum-selling artist has reached the coveted top spot on the urban adult contemporary radio chart, with “Butterflies, Pt. 2.”
The sequel to her 2019 single is Naija’s third urban AC chart leader and her first from the Missunderstood era. She previously led the same chart with the singles “Karma” and “Medicine.”
By “Butterflies, Pt. 2” claiming the pole position on the urban AC radio format, it gives the emerging singer/songwriter an advantage to also reign at the top of the Billboard Adult R&B Airplay chart soon.
“Butterflies, Pt. 2” has been streamed more than 7.8 million times on Spotify, while the official music video has been watched over 12 million times on YouTube.
As mentioned earlier, Naija’s debut album Missunderstood opened at number one on the Billboard Top R&B Albums chart. It also entered at No. 9 on the Billboard 200.
Missunderstood includes the singles “Lie to Me” featuring Lil Durk, “Pack Lite,” and “Love Language.” The LP features guest spots from Lucky Daye, Kiana Ledé, Jacquees, and Russ.
