Queen Naija has heightened the suspense for her debut album Missunderstood with another new track.
“Love Language,” produced by Boston and Mike Woods (Kiana Lede, Bazzi), sounds more like intimate conversation rather than an actual song. Vying for the undivided attention of her man, Naija adopts a melodically seductive cadence to instruct him on how to convey love in her unique language.
“Talk is so cheap, boy I wanna see / Shouldn’t have to ask, you should wanna please me / You should practice what you preach / Make me feel I’m the only one you need/ II just need some more reassurance / I just need some time just to vibe with you,” she sings.
Naija packages the fourth release from the forthcoming album with an accompanying music video. The sexy visual, directed by Teyana “Spike Tey” Taylor and produced by The Aunties, can be watched above.
Missunderstood is slated to arrive on October 30 via Capitol Records. The album will include the nostalgic “Lie to Me” featuring Lil Durk, the cautious-kiss off “Pack Lite,” and the current radio single and fan-favorite “Butterflies Pt. 2.” She shared an acoustic version of the latter track, along with a remix featuring Wale.
