Days after welcoming a new son into the world, Robin Thicke joined forces with the NFL to release a hot new track titled “Fire It Up.”
A culmination of funk, rock, and soul, this self-produced track finds Thicke looking forward to his lady being the accelerant his heart and body desires.
“Fire It Up” was released as part of the NFL’s Songs of the Season campaign. Kelly Rowland also debuted a song (“Hitman”) for the campaign, which aids their social justice initiative, Inspire Change. Proceeds raised for the music contributions will be spread across various organizations that are supported by Inspire Change.
“Fire It Up” follows Thicke’s date night jam “Forever Mine.” It arrived months after his top 20 R&B hit “When You Love Somebody.” Both previous songs are set to appear on Thicke’s upcoming album.
