Victoria Monét just made the holiday season brighter. Days after caroling a new version of “We Wish You A Merry Christmas,” the gifted songwriter and singer offers up classical instrumental versions of six songs from her Jaguar EP.
The festive and lush string arrangements were orchestrated by trained musician and composer Maurice “Piranha Head” Heard. The instrumentals feature additional musicianship from the likes of Peter Lee Johnson, Tim Suby, and the sought-after D’Mile.
Monét’s skilled songwriting on Chloe x Halle’s certified-gold single “Do It” landed her a 2021 Best R&B Song nomination. Earlier this year, Monét earned a songwriting placement (“Rather Be”) on Brandy’s b7.
The mommy-to-be also remixed her Jaguar song “Touch Me” with Kehlani.
