Chloe x Halle Do It

Parkwood Entertainment/Columbia Records

Chloe x Halle’s fan-favorite smash “Do It” has been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), with over 500,000 units sold. It marks the Grammy-nominated sister duo’s first-ever RIAA certification.

The Scott Storch-produced track, which became their first top 10 R&B/hip-hop single, is lifted from Chloe x Halle’s newest album Ungodly Hour. The critically acclaimed LP landed on Rated R&B’s 16 best R&B albums of 2020 so far list in July.

Last month, following their futuristic MTV Video Music Awards pre-show performance, the duo repackaged the single with a parade of female rappers (City Girls, Mulatto, Doja Cat). The remix version has garnered more than five million listens on Spotify, while the original has surpassed over 52.5 million plays.

In other news, Chloe x Halle are taking the stage for Pepsi’s Unmute Your Voice concert, which is in support of the get-out-the-vote initiative. The show takes place tonight at 8 p.m. EST exclusively on Triller.
