The promotional campaign for Jazmine Sullivan’s new project Heaux Tales continues. The Philadelphia native teamed up with NPR Music to perform for its Tiny Desk (Home) Concert.
Dressed in a trench coat, Sullivan delivers a powerful performance for nearly 20 minutes. Most of the songs are from Heaux Tales (“Bodies,” “The Other Side,” “Lost One”and “Girl Like Me” featuring H.E.R.), but she also revisited her previous album Reality Show with her fan-favorite “Let It Burn.”
Heaux Tales is Sullivan’s first project in nearly six years. In 2015, she released her critically acclaimed album Reality Show, which was among Rated R&B’s Best R&B Albums of the Decade (2010s).
