In the decisive and ebullient “You’re The One,” Leela James professes that she is confident the guy in her current relationship is her first and last. Her voice structs all across this track in joy and satisfaction, giving off this sense of peace that her search for true love is finally over.
The sentimental new number is the latest off James’ forthcoming album See Me, out July 30. It follows the previously shared tracks “Complicated” and “Put It On Me.” The former is the LP’s lead single, and it’s heading up the R&B radio and Billboard Adult R&B Songs chart. It marked her third top 10 overall on the last-mentioned chart.
See Me is James’ first studio album since 2017’s Did It for You.
