Normani’s latest single “Wild Side” featuring Cardi B has been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), with more than 500,000 equivalent units sold. The news arrives just a week after the track reached the top 10 on urban radio.
This is Normani’s first RIAA award of 2021. Last year, her 2018 duet with Khalid, “Love Lies,” was certified 5x multi-platinum. Meanwhile, her 2019 solo debut single “Motivation” also went platinum.
“Wild Side” is the lead single from Normani’s highly anticipated debut album, which will release on Keep Cool/RCA Records. While there aren’t many details available about the album, she has been in the studio with The-Dream and sister duo Fallon King and Felisha King-Harvey.
