The Lights On Festival in Brooklyn, curated by H.E.R., has been postponed. The Grammy-winning singer/songwriter released a statement on Monday morning.
“After a sold out weekend in the Bay Area, we were really excited to bring the Lights On Festival to Brooklyn this month but due to the ever-evolving nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s become harder and harder for us to put together the type of festival experience that you deserve. So we are officially postponing this year’s festival to 2022,” she said.
Fans who purchased tickets through Ticketmaster will automatically get a refund within the next 30 days.
The Brooklyn edition, co-headlined by H.E.R. and Maxwell, was scheduled to take place on October 21 and October 22. The lineup also included Ari Lennox, Bryson Tiller, Chloe Bailey, Joyce Wrice, Lucky Daye, Queen Naija, Tone Stith, Victoria Monét, Skip Marley and Blxst.
On October 9, H.E.R. will kick off her Back of My Mind Tour at the One MusicFest in Atlanta, Georgia. From there, she will travel across the United States, hitting major cities such as Dallas, Houston, Philadelphia and Detroit. H.E.R. will be joined by supporting acts Tone Stith, Maeta and Ajanee.
