Summer Walker was joined by Ari Lennox at the 2021 Soul Train Awards to perform their new track “Unloyal” live for the first time together.
Donning a beautiful white dress, Walker kicked off her set accompanied by her live band and background singers. Lennox, who had performed “Pressure” earlier, smoothly made her way to the stage where she delivered an effortless vocal performance.
“Unloyal” is lifted from Walker’s sophomore album, Still Over It. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 166,000 equivalent units sold. It’s the first R&B album by a woman to top the Billboard 200 since Solange’s 2016, A Seat at the Table.
Still Over It also garnered more than 201.1 million on-demand streams, becoming the largest streaming week for an R&B album by a woman in history.
As for “Unloyal,” it debuted at No. 48 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking Lennox’s first Hot 100 entry. Seventeen other tracks from the album made a Hot 100 debut, including “No Love” featuring SZA (No. 13), “Bitter” with Cardi B (No. 25) and “Ex For A Reason” featuring JT(No. 33).
Still Over It is the follow-up to Walker’s platinum-selling debut album, Over It, which was released in 2019.
