If the love doesn’t feel like ’90s R&B, then Teedra Moses doesn’t want it. The singer/songwriter has teamed up with production duo The Colleagues for a new song titled “90s Kinda Love.”

Over a warm, nostalgic production, Moses shares her desire to find a partner who will be with her through thick and thin.

“I wonder where all the real ones are at? / You know, the one that rolls with you / Grow with you / Ride high or low with you / I just gotta have it like that,” Moses sings on the feel-good tune.

KP of The Colleagues tells Rated R&B he had always wanted to work with Moses. “I’ve been wanting to work with Teedra for a while. We met in 2015 through Raheem DeVaughn and we just now finally worked.”

He adds, “Teedra is a true perfectionist. When I thought the song was finished, she challenged me to take the production to another level. I’m glad she did because it came out great. I can’t wait to produce more for her.”

“90s Kinda Love” is the follow-up to The Colleagues and Devon Culture’s song “Dive In.” Both tracks are featured on The Colleagues’ upcoming project, Love Lust Vulnerability, out May 6.

The seven-track project includes collaborations with Raheem DeVaughn, Devvon Terrell and Lewis Sky.

KP of The Colleagues tells Rated R&B that there is a song that echoes every word in the project’s title. “I feel these are the emotions we go through when it comes to relationships,” he says.

Love Lust Vulnerability is The Colleagues’ third R&B-driven project. It follows Another Love Story (2019) and Love Dates and Heartbreaks (2020). The former EP featured all male R&B artists including DeVaughn, VEDO, The HamilTones and more. The latter project consisted of collaborations with various women in R&B, including Tiffany Evans.

Moses’ collaboration with The Colleagues comes two months after releasing her “Make Me (Remix)” featuring Eric Bellinger and Curren$y. She released the original version in 2021. The year prior, she teamed up with Trackademicks and Lucky Ry for “Cashmere Compliments.”

Both tracks are expected to appear on her upcoming album, The Bull$hit.
