Omarion has announced his first book, Unbothered: The Power of Choosing Joy. It will release Sept. 13 via HarperOne.
In this self-help guide for positive transformation, the R&B superstar offers tips on nurturing yourself from the inside out and shares how he reached this point in his life.
A candid read, Unbothered finds Omarion unpacking unrevealed stories that aren’t meant to be malicious but illustrate the true meaning of “grace and forgiveness” and “exercising emotional intelligence.”
Along the way, Omarion does a deep dive on connecting with self on the foundation of three pillars: spiritual, mental and physical.
He uses positive tools like anecdotes, motivational quotes, and breathing exercises to explore each pillar and assist in navigating a greater path to your best version of self.
Omarion won Top Rap Tour at the Billboard Music Awards earlier this spring. The trophy was for The Millennium Tour 2021. Omarion shares his first-ever Billboard award with Bow Wow.
Prior to the win, Omarion shared two versions of The Beatles’ 1967 track “With a Little Help From My Friends.”
The remake came behind “Ex,” a reunion song from last year that featured Bow Wow and Soulja Boy. It came out around when Omarion appeared on the song “Screwin,” taken from Summer Walker’s recent album Still Over It.
Omarion is due for a new album. Passport, the long-awaited follow-up to 2014’s Sex Playlist, has not yet been officially released. In the interim, he released The Kinection, a compilation inspired by his 2019 Millennium Tour experience. On this project, he has a song titled “Unbothered.”
On July 29, Omarion performs at The Theater at MGM National Harbor in National Harbor, Maryland. The show, featuring additional performances from Mario and Pleasure P, part of the Serenade concert series curated by Femme It Forward.
