Rotimi’s 2019 single “Love Riddim” has been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), exceeding 500,000 equivalent units in sales.
The singer/actor went to Instagram to share words of gratitude. “My Second plaque in less than a year! My God is an awesome God,” he wrote in a caption.
“From balancing two careers and being told that it would be impossible to do both, to now breaking down barriers and doing it INDEPENDENT!! This is an emotional and overwhelming feeling. Thank you all for letting me bring joy with this song.”

The Afrobeat-tinged track, produced by Harmony Samuels, is lifted from Rotimi’s Walk With Me EP. “I wanted to create a sound that was different,” Rotimi explained. “Something that was of me yet reminiscent of my favorite artists like Craig David. It’s feel-good music that you can’t help but dance and wine to.”
As noted above, “Love Riddim” is Rotimi’s second award from the RIAA. Last year, his Wale-assisted song “In My Bed,” from his EP The Beauty of Becoming, achieved gold status. The EP also includes Rotimi’s “Love Riddim (Remix)” featuring Akon.
On Aug. 29, 2021, Rotimi released his debut album, All or Nothing. (He released a deluxe edition two months later.) The album features his wedding-friendly anthem “I Do,” which reached the top 10 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart in June 2022. It marked his first time reaching the top 10 on this list.
Rotimi wrapped up his headlining All or Nothing World Tour in May. He played across the U.S., the U.K. and Europe.
In July, he released his single “Throwback” featuring Jnr Choi and Blackway.
Rotimi appears on Tank’s final album, R&B Money, alongside TVERSE on the song “Let’s Take a Ride.”
