Baby Rose has returned with her brand new song, “Fight Club.”

The rising singer and songwriter also uploaded the previously released 2021 track “Go” to all streaming platforms. It was initially exclusive to Dropbox back in July 2021.

On “Go,” Rose showcases her ability to deliver an aching emotional performance that makes you hold the one you love a bit tighter. “You know we gotta fight it cause there’s so much to lose / So will you hold me close and whatever you do,” she sings.

On “Fight Club,” she pairs smartly with Georgia Anne Muldrow and challenges herself to revitalize musically and personally.

Rose sings, “I feel alive inside it / I feel like driving somewhere, someplace / Til the pavement meets the sky / I wanna run to my fears til I’m not afraid / Catch a current of fresh air to ride.”

Recorded in Nashville, Rose described “Go” in a press release as “nostalgic” and says it’s “about fighting to hold onto past love by any means necessary.”

She adds, “That love is redefined depending on the state of mind I’m in when listening. Sometimes sourced from within (my essence and purpose), but sometimes it’s the past – people and things.”

Regarding “Fight Club,” Rose says, “I’m being urged to let go of what was for what could have been. A higher version of consciousness enters the chat, picture the role played by Georgia Anne Muldrow, urging me to abandon the comfort of familiarity and take a risk. To live life with vigor and trust myself.”

“Go” and “Fight Club,” which arrived with corresponding visuals, are part of Rose’s upcoming body of work that will be released via a new partnership with Secretly Canadian, home of R&B-centric acts such as serpentwithfeet and Steven A. Clark.

Rose issued To: You (a holiday joint), an expanded version of her 2019 holiday effort in December 2021.

It followed her appearance on the Big Femme Energy, Vol. 1 (“At Your Worst”), plus the deluxe edition of her debut album To Myself.

Her first proper album was issued in August 2019. It was eventually featured on Rated R&B’s 30 Best R&B Albums of 2019 list.

Earlier this year, Rose collaborated with BLK ODYSSY for “Complex of Killing a Man.”
