Los Angeles-based singer Lendryx has shared his new single, “Regret.”
It was produced by Dionso and Osei Da Producer, and includes additional production from Amorphous. Lendryx says the production, particularly the drum pattern, for “Regret” was inspired by super producer Timbaland.
Lendryx’s voice is bruised and serene on the drowsy slow jam, as he plots to get the last laugh from those who abandoned him before his music profile flourished.
The ice-cold drums and dragged-out strings punctuate his stubbornness to forgive fair-weather friends when they attempt to crawl back in his life.
“It is what it is / You didn’t f*ck with the kid / I’m calling it quits / Held on too long, I admit / I realized that you were just feeding me lies / But I am the prize / And f*cking with me is unwise,” Lendryx sings.
Of the new single, he tells Rated R&B, “I wrote out of frustration with people in my life who will soon regret how they did me wrong as my career continues to rise.”

“Regret” is Lendryx’s first new solo tune since releasing his EP Loyalty in May. The nine-track project included “Infinite” and “Never Get Tired,” among his top-five most-popular tracks on Spotify.
Regarding collaborations, Lendryx lent his voice to Randy Emillio’s recent single “Take a Bite,” from his EP Songs from Apt 1610.
In August, he was spotted in the studio with Amorphous and Brandy’s daughter Sy’ Rai.
