Last year, the Vocal Bible Brandy performed the national anthem prior to the game between the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers.
Baker’s televised appearance comes weeks after she teased “Unconditionally Yours,” a previously unreleased song from 2012.
The track, produced by The Underdogs, is expected to be released soon as part of the rollout for her headlining 2023 tour.
Her nationwide tour kicks off Feb. 11 in Hollywood, Florida, at Hard Rock Live and runs until Dec. 23 at Oakland Arena in Oakland, California.
R&B icon Babyface will join Baker on the road as a special guest.
Baker’s upcoming tour will celebrate the 40th anniversary of her 1983 debut solo album, The Songstress. In addition to singing music from her storied career, she promises to treat fans to new music.
“Looking forward to some crazy, lovely, hang time with my fans, on tour in 2023!! Gonna, bring some new music and some special guests, too,” Baker said.
Shifting back to “Unconditionally Yours,” the love ballad was initially slated to appear on her highly awaited album Only Forever, which was to be released first in 2012 and then in 2013.
There are no additional details to support if Baker will release a new album or project or if she just will issue standalone singles.
