Following last year’s Pillow Talk, Tink returns with Thanks 4 Nothing. The new album arrives via EMPIRE.
Back in the studio with creative partner Hitmaka, who executive produced Pillow Talk and 2021’s Heat Of The Moment, Tink owns her mistakes and takes the high road after a poisonous romance.
On “Trust Issues,” Tink steps back onto the market, hoping the new guy won’t remind her of the same pain from past relationships.
Tears aren’t flowing from Tink’s eyes when her unfaithful man isn’t present. Instead, she moves on to a “New N***a,” as she candidly admits on the closing track.
Thanks 4 Nothing includes features from Ty Dolla $ign and Yung Bleu. In the standout “Let Down My Guard,” on which Ty appears, Tink and her duet partner trade toxic possibilities to show levels of vulnerability.
Tink issued the single “Toxic” as the first offering from Thanks 4 Nothing. She said it’s “the song that puts me in that mode every day.” It arrived with a video inspired by the renowned musical Chicago.
In anticipation of Thanks 4 Nothing, Tink released “Fake Love” earlier this week. She accompanied the track with a smoking hot visualizer.
Thanks 4 Nothing is Tink’s fourth full-length project in four years. Along with 2022’s Pillow Talk and 2021’s Heat Of The Moment, she came out with Hopeless Romantic in 2020 and Voicemails in 2019.
Discussing Tink’s last release, Pillow Talk, the record debuted at No. 9 on Billboard’s Top R&B Albums chart. It became her second top-ten debut on that list. Pillow Talk also entered at No. 43 on the Billboard 200 chart.
“Cater,” the focus track from Pillow Talk featuring 2 Chainz, peaked at No. 20 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart in October 2022.
