Tinashe is hosting an after-party in her bedroom and is offering one ticket to a fortunate guy on her new track, “Needs.”

The catchy bop highlights how Tinashe’s rump-shaking moves have caught the attention of a man who wants to leave with her at the end of the night. Without hesitation, she readily gives him directions to downtown.

With the new track, Tinashe unleashes the official video directed by Sammy Rawal. Choreographed by Nina McNeely, the video features Tinashe and a few dancers performing intricate dance moves in a grocery store, making shopping appear effortless. The video can be watched below.

“Needs” is lifted from Tinashe’s forthcoming album, BB/ANG3L, slated to arrive on Ricky Reed’s Nice Life Recording Company.

About her forthcoming album, Tinashe said, “For BB/ANG3L I was very inspired by the concept of identity. Exploring both how I self-identify and also challenging the perceptions of others.”

She added, “I believe how we identify in this world is ultimately our own personal choice; and I’ve enjoyed stripping back layers of aesthetic fluff, smoke & mirrors, and white noise to get down to the core of myself. Who we are at a core level, when we are alone – raw & unfiltered, is what I want this album to reflect.”

Tinashe announced the signing to Reed’s record label when she released the album’s lead single, “Talk To Me Nice,” released last month. She paired the latter track with a music video as well.

Circling back to BB/ANG3L, the album marks Tinashe’s first full-length studio album since 2021’s 333. The set, named one of Rated R&B’s 30 Best R&B Albums of 2021, was expanded the following year with four new tracks.

333 boasted guest appearances from Future, Jeremih, Kaash Paige, Buddy and more.

On Oct. 28, Tinashe will launch a co-headlining tour with British artist Shygirl. The North American tour concludes Nov. 18. Get more details on the tour here.
