Cleo Sol has returned with Gold, her second album released this month, via Forever Living Originals.
The 10-track set was produced by her frequent collaborator Inflo, who has worked with artists such as Adele and Little Simz.
Sol shared a handwritten letter to her fans about the album’s inspiration. “My new album Gold is out. Thank you for riding this wave with me. Thank you for tuning in. This album was made for God — to honor and give thanks. Always. Many tears, felt fear, pushed through anyway. That was so key,” Sol wrote.
“Thank you Flo. We keep riding and pushing each other to be our highest self, to use our gifts! And hoping we do God proud!! U got my back and I’ve got yours. Stay inspired and go higher my Forever Living Originals team. I hope you enjoy!”

Gold is the follow-up to Sol’s Heaven, which dropped Sept. 15. “I pour my heart and soul into the music and it is very sacred to me, we don’t play with music, it is a gift that I am grateful to God for,” Sol wrote in an Instagram post about Heaven.
Both Heaven and Gold follow Sol’s 2021 album, Mother. “I became a mother this year, and it’s been the most transformative, uplifting, heart melting, strength giving experience thus far that led me to write this album,” Sol wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post about the album. “God’s got jokes and was like, ‘Now you guys create and have fun,’ so we did. Mother was born, and truly it was a beautiful, growing experience.”
Mother was among Rated R&B’s 30 Best R&B Albums of 2021 list.
