Raiche’s latest single “Late Show” marks the end of a failed relationship as she draws the curtains.
Given Raiche’s love and support for an ungrateful partner, it’s understandable she’s moving on from the sleepless nights. She’s not having a pity party but rather feeling grateful that she left when she did after realizing nothing would change. And although this lame lover is begging for forgiveness, she’s standing her ground to show she’s done.
Discussing her new single, Raiche tells Rated R&B, “‘Late Show’ is a sultry, melodic song and you can really hear me emotionally in this soulful record. Hope the listeners enjoy!”
“Late Show” is Raiche’s second song release this year, following “Big Daddy” in September, which was followed by an acoustic version.
Raiche also recently dropped an in-studio acoustic performance of “Big Daddy,” a song inspired by a breakup, aimed to regain her confidence and feel sexy again.
“I’ve known so many close friends who’ve gotten out of bad relationships and wanted to feel lovable, sexy, and comfortable giving their trust to someone again,” Raiche previously explained. “Whether that means him picking a romantic restaurant, understanding my love language or simply putting me first… I’m looking for a ‘BIG DADDY’ who has what it takes.”
Raiche is preparing to release her next project, tentatively titled Loveland, which was announced last year as her debut album. The album was promoted with “Fool” as its lead single. She also issued the track “Feelings.”
It has not been confirmed if there have been any changes regarding her debut album, but Raiche gave a quick update to Rated R&B about her feelings on her recent output. “Releasing this new music is so refreshing. This body of work has grown with me over time, and I am extremely proud of it,” Raiche shares.
In 2021, Raiche achieved her first top 10 hit on R&B radio (then urban adult contemporary radio) with “Pick a Side.”
