Ciara and Chris Brown’s single “How We Roll” is now a top 10 hit at urban radio.
The song moves from No. 11 to No. 10 this week, with 3,379 spins and garnering an audience impression of 6.6 million, according to Mediabase.
On Billboard, “How We Roll” is No. 14 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart and No. 24 on the Rhythmic Airplay chart.
“How We Roll” was co-produced by Ciara, Kasey Phillips, Mr. Kamera, Deli Banger and Theron Thomas. The mid-tempo banger was released as the lead single from Ciara’s EP, CiCi.
Released on Aug. 4, “How We Roll” has amassed 18.7 million streams on Spotify, and its official video has accumulated 27 million views on YouTube. It reached No. 1 on Billboard’s R&B Digital Song Sales chart in the week of Sept. 2.
“It was so much fun working with Breezy because we have been wanting to work together for some time,” Ciara exclusively told Rated R&B. “We are so proud of what we made together and, most importantly, the growth we have had as artists.”
She added, “Even down to sharing laughs over us both having kids now, which was even funnier because I was pregnant on the video set. It’s been so sweet to see all the love the fans have been showing the song and video.”
CiCi was released independently on Aug. 18 via Ciara’s Beauty Marks Entertainment label. The seven-track project includes additional features from Lil Baby (“Forever”) and Big Freedia (“Winning”).
“I wanted to curate and set the tone of my next music chapter with this EP,” Ciara explained to Rated R&B. “This project is the start of really exciting things to come, but most importantly, I want my fans to know that the Ci Ci they have always loved is in her R&B bag.”
CiCi is the follow-up to Ciara’s 2019 album, Beauty Marks, the first project under her label.
In recent news, Ciara released a remix of “How We Roll” with a guest appearance from Lil Wayne. The legendary rapper not only delivers hot bars on the track but also plays the guitar at the end.
Speaking on the remix, Ciara shared, “I recently said in an interview that it was my dream to work with Lil Wayne and in a few short months we made it happen! This is the reason I believe in manifestation…the GOAT being on ‘How We Roll’ is definitely a career highlight.”
