Rising singer Maeta has released When I Hear Your Name (Live), a seven-track compilation of live versions of songs from her project, released earlier this year.
When I Hear Your Name (Live) features songs she performed on tour across North America, the U.K., and Europe.
Among the live versions of project cuts are “Clarity” and “Control Freak” with Ambré.
Maeta ends the stunning set with “Through The Night” featuring Free Nationals.
The rising single, produced by Camper, with co-songwriting credits from Lucky Daye and Elijah Blake, reached the top 10 on R&B radio and Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart this fall. At the time of publication, “Through The Night” is No. 8 on the last chart mentioned.
Maeta performed her growing hit on TV at the 2023 Soul Train Awards last month.
In conjunction with the release of When I Hear Your Name (Live), Maeta has released a stripped-down video for “Sexual” featuring James Fauntleroy, who recently unveiled a holiday project. It can be watched below.
On June 9, Roc Nation Records released Maeta’s album When I Hear Your Name, which consists of 13 tracks including the previously shared “S(EX)” and “Questions,” produced by Kaytranada. The latter has an official video.
About the project, Maeta told Rated R&B, “I want to show that love is complicated and it’s okay not to know why you feel the way you do. That’s one thing I’ve been trying to figure out. I think that we have to accept the fact that love is hard and complicated. And that’s what the project shows. I hope it comforts people who are going through that.”
Maeta toured to promote When I Hear Your Name from August to November.
In other recent news, Maeta appeared on Chris Brown’s 11:11 album.
