Ariana Grande has enlisted Mariah Carey for the official remix of her dance-pop single “yes, and?”
Carey effortlessly decorates the Max Martin-produced track with her iconic vocals. Not only does she contribute a new verse, but she also sings in the chorus and adds mesmerizing ad-libs.
Grande announced her remix on Feb. 14 with a sentimental post on social media. “I cannot believe the words i am typing …… Yes, And? Remix feat the one and only, queen of my heart and lifelong inspiration @mariahcarey is out this friday !!!!!!!!!!!” Grande wrote in an Instagram caption of a photo of her and Carey.
“There truly are no words that suffice. thank you from the bottom of my heart for this dream come true and for sprinkling your brilliance and magic on my little song @mariahcarey. it means more to me than i could ever possibly articulate and i cannot wait for everyone to hear this ! i love you eternally !!!!!!!”

“Yes, and? (Remix)” marks Carey and Grande’s second collaboration. They previously worked together on “Oh Santa! (Remix),” along with Jennifer Hudson, from Carey’s Magical Christmas Special (Apple TV+ Original Soundtrack), released in December 2020.
The original version of “yes, and?” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and Digital Song Sales charts. The song also debuted atop the Spotify Global Chart, with 11.2 million streams — Grande’s biggest debut to date on the streaming service. At the time of publication, the song has 172.3 million streams on Spotify.
“Yes, and?” is the lead single from Grande’s upcoming album, eternal sunshine, out March 8 via Republic Records.
Carey’s appearance on the remix comes a week after announcing her Las Vegas residency, The Celebration of Mimi: Live in Las Vegas, at Dolby Live at Park MGM. The eight-show stint will run from April 12 through April 27.
In other news, Carey is among the nominees for the 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. She joins fellow nominees Mary J. Blige, Sade, Lenny Kravitz and Kool & The Gang, among others.
“Beyond excited and thrilled to be among these legendary nominees for this year’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction. Congratulations to all! @rockhall,” Carey wrote in an Instagram post.
