Tank’s ‘Before We Get Started’ Spends Second Week Atop Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay Chart

Tank’s latest single, “Before We Get Started,” is No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart for a second consecutive week.

The Fabolous-assisted track is Tank’s ninth chart-topper on the Adult R&B Airplay. He ties with Usher for the male artist with the second-most No. 1s on the chart. (Charlie Wilson leads among men with 10 No. 1s, while Alicia Keys leads all with 14 No. 1s.) 

“Before We Get Started” is Tank’s first No. 1 to spend multiple weeks on the Adult R&B Airplay since 2022’s “Slow” with J. Valentine. The latter song also spent two weeks atop the summit. 

Tank took to Instagram to celebrate his second week at No. 1. “Just enjoying being #1.. [smiling face emoji with sunglasses],” he wrote in a caption for a video of him playfully singing the song at a piano.

Prior to “Before We Get Started,” Tank topped the chart in 2023 with his Chris Brown-assisted “See Through Love.”

“Before We Get Started” is lifted from R&B Money: The Vault, the deluxe edition of his R&B Money album, released in April. 

Speaking on R&B Money: The Vault, Tank told Rated R&B, “The fans asked for more, so how could I say no? This is for them and the tour starts in a few weeks. This is all really exciting, and I can’t wait to hit all these cities. This is all for the love of R&B music!”
