Rising R&B crooner TA Thomas has unleashed his new single “Angry.”
On the alluring track, produced by Ray Keys, TA Thomas admits that he enjoys it when his woman brings her fury to the bedroom.
“Love it when you get angry / When you’ve had enough and you lost your patience / Now we in this bed / Girl, it’s so much better when you mad at me,” he sings in the chorus.
Speaking on “Angry,” TA Thomas exclusively tells Rated R&B, “I like a little tension. I like it when the room is a little heated. I wrote this with a good friend of mine, Sage White. It’s super sexy. I’m basically painting this world of my girl being pissed off and I’m finna use that energy to make a movie.”
“Angry” is the follow-up to “Risky,” TA Thomas’ first single since signing with High Standardz and Def Jam Recordings.
Both songs will appear on his forthcoming project that is slated to arrive later this year.
In September 2023, the former Next Town Down member released his solo debut EP, Caught Between 2 Worlds, produced by Camper.
“We’re coming to a moment in time where guys are becoming a lot more vulnerable. This project embodies the male perspective of being in and out of love,” TA Thomas said about Caught Between 2 Worlds.
The EP included the singles “June 15th,” “W.I.A. (Where I’m At),” and “Pros and Cons.”
Caught Between 2 Worlds was featured on Rated R&B’s 25 Best R&B Albums of 2023 list. “Caught Between 2 Worlds is an unfiltered look at an artist wrangling with love and heartbreak,” wrote Edward Dave. “It serves as a lovely course for listeners wanting to get the retro feeling of begging-and-pleading R&B of the ’90s with a modern edge.”
Earlier this year, TA Thomas collaborated with R&B duo The Amours on “Pick Me Up” from their Changes EP and rising vocalist MaKenzie’s “Maybe” from her A Pretty F*****g Cool EP.
