R&B groups TGT and Bell Biv DeVoe have joined forces for their co-headlining R&B Forever Tour.
The two groups will be joined by the fellow male group Silk as special guests, with additional support in various cities to be announced.
TGT and BBD have shared dates for seven shows, with more dates to be revealed soon. The R&B Forever Tour, produced by Global Events Production, will kick off on Oct. 4 at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, and will include stops in Texas, Florida, New York, North Carolina, Wisconsin, and Georgia.
Presale tickets will be available Thursday, Aug. 8, at 10 a.m. local time. Tickets go on sale to the public Friday, Aug. 9, at 10 a.m. local time.
TGT’s joint tour announcement comes following the trio’s reunion at the 2024 Essence Festival of Culture.
The trio, consisting of Tyrese, Ginuwine, and Tank, released their first album, Three Kings, in 2013. The Grammy-nominated album featured the hit singles “I Need” and “Sex Never Felt Better.”
Since parting ways, Ginuwine has continued touring with support from Global Events Production and its R&B Music Experience shows.
Last year, Tyrese released two songs: “Don’t Think You Ever Loved Me” and “Love Transaction.”
Both songs are set to appear on his upcoming solo album, Beautiful Pain. Additionally, earlier this year, he joined R&B icon Keith Sweat’s Make It Last Forever Farewell Tour.
As for Tank, The R&B General recently completed his R&B Money Tour. The trek supported his No. 1 single “Before We Get Started.” The song is lifted from R&B Money: The Vault, the deluxe edition of his R&B Money album, released in April.
The R&B Forever Tour has extended the stage time for BBD, which stands for Bell Biv DeVoe, in 2024.
Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, and Ronnie DeVoe have been performing a Las Vegas residency at the Encore Theater in support of New Edition, the legendary band for which they are founding members.
The residency was extended for a third time earlier this year and will include three new dates this fall.
In 2017, BBD came out with their Three Stripes album. The 10-track project features appearances from Boyz II Men, SWV, and Doug E. Fresh.
Most recently, BBD collaborated with Rev Run of Run-D.M.C. for the track “Act Like You Know.”
Silk has been much quieter in terms of releasing new music. The group last released an album in 2016 titled Quiet Storm. The set included the singles “Love 4 U 2 Like Me” and “Baby Maker.”
