R&B crooner Vedo has returned with his new single “Take It Slow,” produced by Vontae Thomas.
On the intimate track, Vedo sings about his desire to savor every moment with his partner. While the song is tailored for the bedroom, its message extends beyond, reminding listeners to cherish the time they spend with someone special.
“Baby, what if time stood still? / Would you be in a rush? / Is this lusting or love / And if none of this real, don’t wake me up / I wanna feel your touch forever baby / Can we take it slow?” Vedo sings on the sensual track.
Speaking on “Take It Slow,” Vedo says, “Everyone is always in a rush. Sometimes, you need to just slow down and enjoy the moment. Don’t be so quick to move on to the next thing. Some moments in life are meant to be enjoyed. Take your time when searching for love, and don’t let the way of the world rush you into things you’re not ready for.”
“Take It Slow” is the first single from Vedo’s upcoming ninth album that will release in 2025. The untitled project will follow Next Chapter, which he released in May. The latter album included the singles “Pull Over,” “Spinn On You” and “Your Love Is All I Need.”
Regarding Next Chapter, Vedo stated, “My eighth studio album for me symbolizes victory, prosperity, and overcoming obstacles in my life and in my career. I had to work really hard to get to where I am today, and this project is a poetic reminder that music isn’t work; it’s fun. I’m proud of this project and can’t wait for my fans to experience it.”
In 2023, Vedo released two albums: Mood Swings in January and 7 in October.
Speaking on his new era, Vedo teases, “You can anticipate a more grounded Vedo—musically, spiritually, mentally. I think these next stages of my life will bring a lot more discernment, poise, passion, and love to everything I do. A new album, a tour, and maybe even some long-awaited collaborations are all on the horizon.”
