Sixteen-time Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter and producer Alicia Keys will be honored with the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award at the Recording Academy Honors.
The Black Music Collective hosted ceremony will be held Thursday, Jan. 30, at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles.
“From her timeless music to her unwavering dedication to uplifting others, Alicia has made an indelible impact on the world,” says Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr.
He adds, “Alicia embodies everything the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award represents – her artistry knows no bounds, her advocacy inspires meaningful change, and her influence has profoundly shaped culture. We are honored to celebrate her extraordinary legacy and the transformative contributions she continues to make in music and beyond.”
Named after the legendary producer, the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award was established in 2023 to celebrate artists’ musical excellence as well as their entrepreneurial achievements, philanthropic efforts, and global impact.

Since releasing her groundbreaking debut album, Songs In A Minor, Alicia Keys has sold over 65 million records worldwide and has amassed over five billion streams. With 37 million certified track sales and 20 million album sales in the U.S., Keys is the No. 1 RIAA-certified female R&B artist of the millennium.
She has released eight studio albums, with her latest effort, KEYS, released in 2022. The double album featured original songs and remixes dubbed as Unlocked.
Aside from music, Keys released her first memoir, More Myself: A Journey, in 2020. The book was featured on the New York Times Best Seller list.
In 2023, she debuted her musical Hell’s Kitchen, which was inspired by her experience growing up in the Manhattan neighborhood of the same name.
Since its premiere, the musical transferred to Broadway and earned Keys Tony Award and Grammy Award nominations. The cast album is currently up for Best Musical Album at the 2025 Grammy Awards, which takes place Sunday, Feb. 2.
Further, Keys is the co-founder of She Is The Music, a nonprofit organization that aims to increase the number of women working in music. She’s also the founder of the skincare and makeup brand Keys Soulcare.
