Rising pop soul star Teddy Swims has released his sophomore album, I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 2) via Warner Records.
“This album is a continuation of Part 1,” says Swims. “I’ve been evolving, growing, and healing in so many ways since the first one! On the last album, I felt as if it just left you with so much heartbreak and no resolve. Of course, there is still heartbreak on Part 2, but I believe we’ve given just a little more closure this time around!”
The 13-track set was preceded by the singles “Funeral,” “Bad Dreams” and “Are You Even Real” featuring GIVĒON. The latter tune debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s R&B Digital Song Sales and No. 59 on the Hot 100 charts dated for Jan. 25.
I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 2) includes additional features from R&B stars Muni Long and Coco Jones, along with rap sensation GloRilla.
Long appears on “Black & White,” which she co-produced with her longtime collaborator Jeff “Gitty” Gitelman. On the soul-stirring ballad, Swims and Long sing about an unequivocal love that transcends outside noise.
Long sings in the second verse: “Differences between us / I know that some peoplе see ’em / Yeah, your tattoos look like bad nеws, kinda taboo / If I had to, how can I explain it? / You’re the sunshine when it’s rainin’.”
They drive the message further in the chorus, harmonizing, “Baby, baby, it’s black and white / We know when it feels right / And it feels like the right time to love you.”

Jones and GloRilla are featured on “She Got It,” produced by Stargate, Hidde Ament, Jasper Harris, and Julian Bunetta. On the track, which blends hip-hop soul elements, Swims admires his woman for who she is — inside and out.
He sings in the chorus: “(She’s got it) Everything that I need / (She’s got it) Always been so good to me / (She’s got it) Now show me how you do it / First thing first, it’s a real body (Dun, dun, dun).”
Jones comes in for verse two with confidence like no other: “Say lovе is blind / But you gon’ see it comin’ when you find a dime like this / Babe, don’t waste my time / I could change your whole life, I could make a thug cry.”
The beat switches for GloRilla, giving her the space to deliver her signature flow. “Feelin’ like Mariah, got ’em wantin’ to touch my body,” she raps with a nod music icon Mariah Carey.
As mentioned previously, GIVĒON is featured on “Are You Even Real.” Speaking on his collaboration, Swims said, “I’m so grateful to have my dear friend GIVĒON on ‘Are You Even Real’ with me! He is a once in a generation talent, I’m trying to get this man to do a whole record with me!”
GIVĒON shared, “This song came together in such a natural way and it shows. The music, the lyrics, Teddy, and myself. It’s one that makes you replay it over and over. Excited to finally share it with the world.”
I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 2) follows Swims’ debut album, I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 1), which included his No. 1 hit “Lose Control.”
This spring, Swims will embark on his I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy Tour. The North American leg begins May 9 in Hollywood, Florida, with stops in Charlotte, Philadelphia, Toronto, New York, Las Vegas, Atlanta, and more.
