Chris Brown‘s 11:11 (Deluxe) was crowned Best R&B Album at the 2025 Grammy Awards on Sunday evening (Feb. 2).

The category also included Lalah Hathaway’s Vantablack, Muni Long’s Revenge, Lucky Daye’s Algorithm and Usher’s Coming Home.

The R&B star, who was not present at the time, went to Instagram to express gratitude for his Grammy win.

“Thank you God for covering me in your love and thank you Team Breezy being my ride or dies! Thank you to my kids! Thank you to every producer, writer, management, RCA, street team, radio, photographers, directors, and thank you to the Grammys,” Brown wrote in a caption.

Brown, who was nominated in three categories this year, now has two Grammy wins. He now ties TLC, D’Angelo, and Robert Glasper for the second-most wins in this category. Alicia Keys and John Legend lead the pack with three wins each.

His album F.A.M.E. won in the same category at the 54th Grammy Awards in 2012.

Brown’s latest award marks RCA Records’ third win in this category in the 2020s, following Jazmine Sullivan’s Heaux Tales (2022) and Victoria Monét’s Jaguar II (2024).

11:11 (Deluxe), the first deluxe album to win a Grammy for Best R&B Album, was released April 11, 2024, via Chris Brown Entertainment/RCA Records.

The 35-track album includes Brown’s Grammy-nominated hit “Residuals” and “Sensational” featuring Davido and Lojay.

In an interview with Rated R&B, musical duo Blaq Tuxedo (Dominique Logan and Darius Logan) discussed working on “Residuals,” including why they believe his fans connected with the record.

“I feel like it’s the closest thing to the F.A.M.E. era — the record choice, the feeling of the music,” Dominque said. “He connects with his story in real life. We’ve all grown up with him, watching the story.”

The standard version of 11:11 was released Nov. 10, 2023.  The album debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top R&B Albums chart and No. 9 on the Billboard 200.

The 22-track set included the Grammy-nominated lead single “Summer Too Hot,” which topped multiple Billboard charts.

Brown supported his latest album on his 11:11 Tour with special guests Muni Long, Maeta, and Ayra Starr.
