SiR is ending his HEAVY era on an optimistic note. The Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter has released his album Heavy Deluxe: THE LIGHT via Top Dawg Entertainment.
The expanded set includes all 16 tracks from HEAVY plus six new songs. Among the fresh batch of songs is “Out of My Hands” featuring rising singer Maeta.
On the soulful track, produced by Devin Malik, SiR acknowledges he can’t undo his past missteps in a relationship but he is resolved to move forward and make it right.
“I may never be the man that you deserve/ We can try to make this work / But we’re taking a chance / Never said that we can’t let go of the past / Wish I could / But it’s out of my hands,” he sings.
On “The Light,” SiR embraces his journey to personal growth, singing, “As I step into the light / Oh, I’ll be letting go of all my cares / I been holding back for all these years / Now I’m ready for the sunshine.”
Speaking on his Heavy Deluxe, SiR shares, “I’m happy to be staring at the end of an era. The Light Deluxe completes a chapter in my life I’ve been growing away from. These new songs served as therapy during a time of growth. I’m excited to see how they connect with my fans.”

The standard version SiR’s fourth album, HEAVY, was released March 22, 2024. SiR told Rated R&B, “I was going through a lot but towards the end of the creative process, the songs stopped sounding so heavy [and] a lot lighter. That’s the direction that I’m going in my life.”
He added, “This is about overcoming. The pain is visible, but I made it through the pain. I want people to see that first and foremost. I’m definitely on the other side of everything.”
HEAVY was preceded by the singles “Satisfaction,” “Nothing Even Matters,” “Life Is Good” featuring Scribz Riley, “Karma” featuring Isaiah Rashad and “No Evil.” It also included collaborations with Anderson .Paak, Ty Dolla $ign and Ab-Soul.
The .Paak-assisted “Poetry In Motion,” peaked at No. 10 on Bilboard’s R&B Digital Song Sales chart. It marked his second top 10 hit on this chart following “Nothing Even Matters,” which reached No. 9 in 2023.
SiR will kick off his Step Into the Light Tour on May 7 in Vancouver. The upcoming trek, an extension of 2024’s Life Is Good Tour, will make stops in Portland, Sacramento, Dallas, New York, Chicago, and more before concluding June 15 in Minneapolis.
