BET has unveiled the nominees for the 2025 BET Awards, airing live Monday, June 9, at 8 p.m. ET on the network.

Rapper Kendrick Lamar leads the overall pack with 10 nods, including Album of the Year (GNX).

Alt-R&B superstars SZA and The Weeknd are the most-nominated R&B acts with four nominations each, including Best Female R&B/Pop Artist and Best Male R&B/Pop Artist, respectively.

Meanwhile, Chris Brown is nominated in three categories, including the fan-voted Viewer’s Choice Award for his hit single “Residuals.” The song appears on the R&B superstar’s Grammy-winning album, 11:11 (Deluxe).

The 2025 BET Awards, hosted by comedian and actor Kevin Hart, will take place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. This year’s ceremony will not only celebrate the 25th anniversary of Culture’s Biggest Night but also the same milestone anniversary for 106 & Park.

According to BET, there will be a 106 & Park reunion honoring the iconic music video countdown show’s legacy with former hosts AJ & Free, Terrence J, Rocsi, Julissa, and Keshia Chanté. Amerie, B2K, Bow Wow, Mya, T.I. and others are set to perform as part of the tribute.

“106 & Park was more than just a music countdown show; it was the heartbeat of Black youth culture and one of the highest-rated BET programs for over a decade,” says Scott Mills, president and CEO of BET. “From Freestyle Friday to unforgettable live performances, it launched careers, influenced fashion, and became a platform where voices, style, and sound converged. 106 & Park both celebrated and fueled many of the most important musical and culture evolutions that occurred during its two-and-a-half-decade tenure.”

Connie Orlando, executive vice president of specials, music programming and music strategy at BET, adds, “106 & Park served as a cultural touchstone, embodying the energy, creativity and authenticity of a generation. It provided artists a direct connection to their fans, transforming everyday moments into lasting memories. The show’s legacy continues to influence how we engage with music, connect with talent, and celebrate Black creativity. We are thrilled to commemorate 25 years of this iconic series at this year’s BET Awards.”
