CAMP, formerly known as Aaron Camper, has teamed with fellow singer-songwriter Kevin Ross for his new single “IDC.”
Co-produced by Aron Hodek and David Hodek, “IDC” is sweet and smooth like caramel chews as CAMP and Ross sing about the desire to find everlasting love.
Regarding his new track, CAMP tells Rated R&B, “‘IDC’ is a song that I feel makes sense as a sort of anti-message when it comes to relationships right now. I think all the toxic messaging crashed us out so bad now we’re all in the process of trying to remember what good love really is: Somebody that’s gonna hold you down in the sense of loving you, caring and paying attention to their needs (not bills) and growing together. It’s a lost message, so when they ask, ‘Where’s the love songs?’ this song is a great response.”
“IDC” is CAMP’s fourth song release of the year. It follows “Taste,” “Champagne Fever” and “CNTRL.”
Later this month, CAMP will release his new EP, SummerBaby. The upcoming project will follow his 2022 EP, Process. Before that, in 2021, Ross released his Therapy EP.
As for Ross, he released his Midnight Microdose, Vol. 1 EP earlier this spring. It’s the first installment of a three-part series that is expected to continue to roll out this year. The project featured his hit “Look My Way,” which cracked the top 10 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart.
Solo music aside, Ross recently collaborated with other R&B singers such as Kenyon Dixon (“Slow Dancing Remix“) and J. Brown (“Weightless“). The latter song was written and produced by Ross.
