H.E.R. Teams With Jess Glynne for New Version of ‘Thursday’

H.E.R. and Jess Glynne join forces for an uplifting reboot of “Thursday” from Glynne’s Always In Between album.

Comparable to the original version, Glynne’s message of inner beauty continues to flow flawlessly throughout the affirmative anthem. H.E.R. comes in the second verse with revised yet fitting lyrics and matches her soothing voice well with the rich texture of Glynne’s cadences.

“I’ll let my hair down on Thursday / I don’t care who’s watching me / I’m gonna look in the mirror / And I’m gonna love what I tired,” sings H.E.R.

H.E.R. has been grinding it out lately. She just landed her third top 10 single on the urban adult contemporary radio with her Bryson Tiller-assisted duet “Could’ve Been” and has been creating studio memories with Sean Garrett and Luke Witherspoon III.

Aside from those things, H.E.R. is preparing for her debut performance at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards. She is one of the top nominees, notching five considerations, including Album of the Year (H.E.R.) and Best New Artist.

Take a listen to “Thursday” below.
