Did someone call Lizzo to the stage? The emerging heartthrob will perform music from her new album Cuz I Love You at the 2019 MTV Movie & TV Awards next month.
While this isn’t Lizzo’s first rodeo on stage, it is her first time performing on a televised award show. She is hoping to make a memorable moment as she already mentioned that’s she’s going to “go the fuck off” at Barker Hangar.
In case you’re not familiar with Lizzo and her stage presence, checking out her recent set on MTV’s Push series will get you up to speed. She is also heading out on tour again this fall for the second leg of her Cuz I Love You Tour. The first show begins on September 7 in New Orleans.
Beyond music, Lizzo is creating a lane for herself in the acting realm. She just landed a role in strip club drama Hustlers alongside Keke Palmer and Jennifer Lopez. The entertainer also lent her voice to the new Kelly Asbury-directed animation, Ugly Dolls,
One more thing: Lizzo is the cover girl for the latest digital edition of Essence. She talks about her authenticity as an artist, self-care, love for Missy Elliott, and more.
