Givēon, one of Rated R&B’s 11 R&B artists to watch in 2021, has finally done it.
After a 28-week run, the Long Beach, Calif. native has registered his first top 10 single on the Billboard Adult R&B Songs chart with “Like I Want You.” The certified gold single is lifted from his debut EP, Take Time, which was named one of the best R&B albums of 2020 by Rated R&B.
“Like I Want You” moves up the R&B radio chart, currently at No. 11 with more than 4.3 million listener impressions. Meanwhile, the song increases in plays on Spotify, presently at 53.8 million and counting.
Givēon is preparing a Grammy speech, as his Take Time EP is nominated for Best R&B Album at the 63rd annual ceremony.
Last year, Giveon dropped When It’s All Said and Done, his second EP.
