“Is this thing on?”
The visuals for Solange’s album When I Get Home keep coming. After dropping the optical masterpiece for “Almeda,” the songbird has unleashed a carefree video for “Binz.”
Adjusting her webcam for the right angles, the go-getting artist shows clearly that she is still an around the way girl. From dancing alone aimlessly to dropping it like it’s hot in a snake print two-piece, we love every minute of Solange’s black girl magic.
On the chart side, When I Get Home debuts at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 after pushing 43,000 album units (11,000 in pure sales) in its first week sales. This record stamps Solange’s third consecutive top 10 debut. A Seat at the Table, her first certified-gold album, opened at number one on the popular albums chart in October 2016.
Although album numbers are a bit low right now, Solange’s busy 2019 festival schedule should increase streams and sales. She is listed on the performance bill for Coachella 2019 in April, Bonnaroo 2019 and Parklife 2019 in June, and Lovebox 2019 in July.
