Khalid can definitely talk the talk, and walk the walk on the radio charts. His Disclosure-crafted single “Talk” has reached a new peak on rhythmic radio, leaping from last week’s position at No. 5 to No. 1 this week, according to Mediabase.
The electro R&B track is now Khalid’s second chart-topper on rhythmic radio this year as a solo artist, as his vibrant Free Spirit and Suncity cut “Better” ruled the top spot in February.
His recent two-song performance at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards and the official remix featuring Megan Thee Stallion and Yo Gotti is sure to keep “Talk” atop of the chart for a while.
Earlier this week, Khalid was crowned the new king of Spotify after he dethroned Ariana Grande for the title as the most listened artist on the streaming platform.
The streaming sensation is slated to perform tonight at the 2019 Beale Street Music Festival. He will entertain fans at the Hangout Music Festival later this month, before launching his first headlining North American arena tour on June 20 in Phoenix.
