Lucky Daye’s debut album Painted is out now, and he’s putting in the work to promote it. In love with performing onstage for his fans, the rising singer has partnered with YouTube to share live versions of album cuts every week this month.
First off on his Daye Ones series is “Late Night,” a psychedelic number that first appeared on his debut EP, I. Styled in a floral jacket and joined by his go-to producer D’Mile, Daye felt right at home as he sang the upbeat tune with ease and enjoyment.
Daye’s recent YouTube session comes off the heels of his NPR Tiny Desk debut, as well as the 2019 BET Awards performer announcement.
On July 5, Daye is traveling back to his hometown to perform at the 2019 Essence Festival. A day later, Daye will play at the fifth annual Summer Block Party concert series alongside Jill Scott, Boyz II Men, and Faith Evans.
