Sabrina Claudio is celebrating New Music Friday with a fresh track.
On her latest song, “Truth Is,” the singer-songwriter dives deep into her emotions as she tries to figure out how she truly feels about her love interest.
“Truth is I’m dishonest / ‘Cause I’m always scared to get too deep / Truth is that I want this / ‘Cause I always see you in my sleep,” Claudio sings on the chorus.
Claudio explained the meaning behind the song in a press release.
“I wrote ‘Truth Is’ with Julia Michaels during our first time working together,” she said. “The song is about emotions we often think of but are afraid to voice – the feelings we try to convince ourselves we don’t actually feel. Those two words, Truth Is, symbolize everything this album is about.”
“Truth Is” is the title track to Claudio’s upcoming project that will release on October 4 via SC Entertainment/Atlantic Records. Her previously released tracks “Holding the Gun,” “On My Shoulders” and “As Long As You’re Sleep” will appear on the project.
On September 21, Claudio will kick off her extensive Truth Is Tour in Los Angeles, California. The tour will run until late November.
