FKA twigs stopped by The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday night to deliver a stunning performance of her latest single “Cellophane.”
Sitting on top of a piano, Twigs donned an elaborate, Victorian-inspired gown. As she delivered ethereal sounding vocals, the singer had help from pianist Kelly Moran and cellist Lucinda Chua, who both added hypnotic elements to the performance.
Midway through the performance, Twigs hopped off the piano to showcase her impressive pole-dancing skills, which she debuted in the single’s music video.
“Cellophane” is the lead single off Twigs’ upcoming album, Magdalene, which is set to arrive on November 8 via Young Turks.
Inspired by the biblical figure Mary Magdalene, the forthcoming set will include the already-released tracks: “Home With You” and “Holy Terrain” featuring Future.
Starting on November 3, Twigs will play at Vogue Theatre in Vancouver, British Columbia to kick off the album’s supporting tour.
